These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Library at library.theindieauthorsadvocate.com, operated by The Indie Author’s Advocate (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Library, buying a book box, listing as an author, or joining a book club, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to make a purchase or create an account.

Accounts

Some features, including author listings, require an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

What we offer

The Library offers curated book boxes (physical products we ship), paid author listings and promotional programs, and book clubs and community features. Specific details, inclusions, and pricing are shown on the relevant pages.

Orders and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are processed through Stripe. When you place an order, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the total shown, including any applicable taxes. We may decline or cancel an order — for example, in the case of a pricing error, suspected fraud, or an item being unavailable — and if we do, we will refund any amount charged.

Book boxes

Book boxes are curated. Contents are chosen by us and may vary; a box is sold on the overall experience rather than any specific title. Photos and descriptions are illustrative.

Author listings and programs

Authors may purchase listings and promotional spots (such as Founding Author placements). You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you submit and for holding the rights to it. We may edit or remove listings that are inaccurate, infringing, or that violate these Terms. Author fees are non-refundable once your listing is live, as described in our Refund & Shipping Policy. We promote author listings in good faith but do not guarantee any specific sales, visibility, reviews, or other results.

Book clubs

Book clubs and community spaces are provided for readers and authors to connect. Please participate respectfully. We may remove content or participants that are abusive, unlawful, or disruptive.

Refunds

Purchases are subject to our Refund & Shipping Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of the text, images, and materials you submit (such as author profiles and listings). You grant us a non-exclusive license to display and promote that content on the Library and our related channels for as long as your listing or account is active.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Library for any unlawful purpose, to infringe others’ rights, to upload harmful code, or to interfere with the site’s operation.

Our intellectual property

The Library’s design, text, logos, and original content are owned by us and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Disclaimers

The Library and its services are provided “as is.” We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no guarantee of results for authors who purchase listings or programs.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Indie Author’s Advocate is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Library. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Library after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
